Adolescent Support Group:

Help for young people living with a chronically ill parent. Free, at Holy Family Hospital Regional Cancer Center. (509)482-2477.

American Cancer Society: Offering support groups, medical equipment, food supplements, home visits, supplies, transportation, and housing. Specific support groups for breast cancer patients; offers help with breast prostheses and wigs. (509)326-5802.

BCHP: Free women’s health exam including mammogram and pap test. Call Kari at 1-800-873-8954 for NE Tri-County, or Kim at 324-1498 for Spokane County.

Cancer Patient Care: Offering counseling, medical equipment, home visits, emergency funds and transportation. Also has a low/no-cost screening and mammography program. (509)456-0446.

Communicative Medical: Offering counseling and support groups.

Deaconess Cancer Center: Offering social service counseling, detection, doctor referral, financial counseling, food supplements, support groups and transportation.


Easter Seal Society of Washington: Offering equipment. (509)326-8292.

Holy Family Hospital’s Cancer Care Line:

A nurse will share the latest cancer information, resources, research and support. Free of charge. Call (509)482-2254.

Holy Family Hospital Women’s Health Center:

A free lending library, physician referral, community health education and resources, information nurses, support groups, free breast health classes, consultations and counseling. Call (509)482-2477.

Hospice of Spokane:

Offering emotional, spiritual and physical counseling, home care and support groups. (509)456-0438.

Sacred Heart Cancer/Research: Cancer information and screenings, physician referral. Breast cancer clinic offering low-cost screening, mammography and breast self-exam instruction. Call (509) 455-3490. Radiation Oncology: Call (509) 455-3336.

VNA Home Health Care: Offering counseling, home care and visits and supplies. (509)534-4300.

YWCA ENCORE Plus: Free breast and cervical health education programs for individuals or groups. Referral to low- or no-cost screening services. Post-breast surgery exercise and support class. (509)326-1190 Ext. 18.
