Whidbey Island Residents Feel 3.5 Earthquake

A deep earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 occurred Sunday southwest of Port Townsend and off the west side of Whidbey Island, the University of Washington Seismology Lab reported.

The quake occurred at 4:06 p.m. It was centered about 22 miles north of Poulsbo, and 35 miles below the earth’s surface, the agency reported.

Residents on the west side of Whidbey Island reported feeling the temblor.

No damage or injuries were reported.
