Workshops, Seminars Offer Expert Advice

The following yard and garden-related workshops and seminars will be offered this spring:

“Wandering in a Woodland Garden” by Sydney McCrea - a how-to for developing a shade and woodland garden, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.) at Spokane County Ag Building 222 N. Havana. Cost: $5.

“Pruning and Repairing Storm-Damaged Trees” by Ray Maleike, a WSU Extension Horticulturist, Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. or 1-2:30 p.m. at the Spokane County Ag Building, 222 N. Havana. Call 533-2048 for information.

“Backyard Urban Forest” by Guy Gifford from the Washington Department of Natural Resources, April 12 all day at the Washington Water Power Auditorium. “Feng Shui - In Harmony With Nature” will be given by the Friends of Manito, April 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mukogawa Fort Wright Institute Commons Room, 4000 W. Randolph Rd. Cost: $60, preregister by calling 456-8038.
