Craven Hurt In Crash

Compiled From Wire Services

Ricky Craven was in serious but stable condition with a fractured right shoulder and concussion after hitting the wall during the opening session of Winston Cup practice at the new Texas Motor Speedway.

Rain postponed the qualifying for Sunday’s Interstate Batteries 500 but qualifying was held for the companion Coca-Cola 500 Busch Grand National race with Jeff Green taking the pole.
