Madonna Hits High Note In Eva Peron Portrayal

Sometimes the best you can expect of a hyped-up Hollywood movie is that it at least is watchable. Well, given his penchant for beautiful cinematography, Alan Parker typically makes movies that are easy to watch. And “Evita,” whatever your feelings are about Madonna, about Andrew Lloyd Webber and his music or even about historical revisionism, is eminently easy on the eyes. Besides, “Evita” may be the best acting job that Madonna has ever done, and she never utters a word that she doesn’t sing.
