Friends Of The Centennial Trail Organize Cleanup For April 12

Those who care about the Centennial Trail can spend next Saturday morning caring for the trail, sweeping, weeding and picking up a winter’s worth of litter.

The Friends of the Centennial Trail is organizing a 37-mile spring cleanup, dubbed “Unveil the Trail, from 9 a.m. to noon on April 12.

Businesses and organizations expecting to take part include Hewlett-Packard, Kaiser Aluminum-Trentwood Works, CXT Inc., Olivetti North America; Telect Inc., Valley Hospital and Medical Center, Valley Kiwanis Club and Valley Rotary Club.

Each of those groups has adopted a mile of trail as its own. A few miles of the trail through the Valley have not been adopted.

Friends of the Trail asks that volunteers call its office at 624-7188 for more information about Saturday’s cleanup, including what miles of the trail most need help.
