Urdahl Tosses No-Hitter

Tucker Urdahl pitched a six-inning no-hitter Saturday and joined his Cheney mates with strong efforts at the plate in a 10-0, 6-3 Frontier League baseball sweep at Pullman.

Cheney improved to 8-0 and leads the league by 3-/12 games. The Greyhounds are 2-5.

Urdahl struck out 12 in the opener. Bryan Miller was 5 for 7 for the day and hit two home runs.

In the second game, Matt Conrath hit a two-run homer in the fourth and Colin Fiddes added a solo shot in the seventh to back Matt Caston, who struck out eight.

J.D. Burns had five hits, including one of Clarkston’s three homers, as the Bantams (4-4) swept the visiting Indians (4-3) to tie third-place East Valley.

Justin Romesburg and Tom Lynden both had three hits and one homer for Clarkston. Colville, received two homers apiece from Justin Fox and Brady Noble.
