Post Falls Provides Drop-Off For Yard Waste

From Staff And Wire Reports

Post Falls residents can rid themselves of yard waste April 21-26.

The city’s Clean-Up Week won’t include curb-side pickup this year. And because of ice storm-related costs, the city doesn’t have enough money to deal with anything other than yard waste and wood.

Leaves, branches and lumber can be brought to the city shop at 1200 Third between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Everything will be sorted and taken to the Kootenai County transfer station from there.

Leaves must be bagged, branches must be bundled and tied. Branches must be no longer than four feet and weigh less than 50 pounds. Painted and unfinished lumber must be separated.

The city specifically asks people not to bring appliances, tires, household garbage and hazardous waste or chemicals.

For questions, call 773-4235 or 773-1722.
