Four Killed In B.C. Explosion

From Staff And Wire Reports

People trapped in debris screamed for help after a massive explosion ripped apart a small commercial building Wednesday afternoon, witnesses said.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police reported four people were killed and 18 injured.

Fire broke out after the explosion.

The old brick building, which housed a thrift shop and sports card shop, was reduced to rubble.

The cause of the explosion was not confirmed, but a natural gas leak was suspected, Canadian Press reported.
