Public Invited To Meet Schools Candidate

The first of three finalists for the job of Coeur d’Alene school superintendent will be in town today, and the public is invited to meet him.

Richard Gregory, 55, has been superintendent of the Emporia, Kan., school district since 1993.

People can meet Gregory from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at the school district office, 311 N. 10th, or from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Coeur d’Alene High School library.

The same schedule will be followed twice next week, when two candidates from Washington state will visit.

David Rawls, superintendent of the Moses Lake school district, will visit on Monday. Richard Cole, superintendent of the Colville school district, will be in Coeur d’Alene on Wednesday.

Each candidate will tour the schools, visit with the staff, and have a final interview with the board of trustees. , DataTimes
