Talented Guitarist To Play At Auntie’s

Tom Long, who has been called a “guitarist extraordinaire,” will perform Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Auntie’s Bookstore, 402 W. Main.

Folk and Acoustic Music Exchange called his music “upbeat instrumental acoustic music” with a “mysterious lilting quality … quite entrancing.”

Long has released two compact disks on the Rubber Mojo label, “satis verborum” in 1992 and “Monkeys Violate the Heaven Palace” in 1995. He has appeared in concert with internationally known guitarists Alex DeGrassi, Peter Finger, Arlo Guthrie, Martin Simpson and the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, among many others.

Tickets are $10, available at Auntie’s and at Dutch’s Pawn Shop, 415 W. Main, which is also sponsoring the concert.
