Rogers Uses Late Hit To Down Mead 3-2
The Jaime-Jamie connection allowed Rogers to leap over Mead in Greater Spokane League softball standings Thursday.
Jaime Christensen tripled home Crystal Perry in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Pirates (4-2) notched a 3-2 win over the visiting Panthers (4-3).
Jamie Merrill pitched a five-hitter and struck out five to help Rogers tie idle Central Valley for third place.
Mead’s Holly Turner stole home in the sixth to tie the game at 3.
