Seattle Takes 3-2 Lead Over Prince George In Whl

Bret DeCecco scored twice to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 4-1 victory over the Prince George Cougars in Western Hockey League playoff action Friday.

The victory gives the Thunderbirds a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 Western Conference final, with Game 6 set for Sunday in Prince George.

Jeremy Reich and Patrick Marleau had the other goals for Seattle. Thunderbirds goalie Jeff Blair made 24 saves to earn his sixth playoff victory.

Chris Low had the lone Prince George goal. Cougars goalie Chris Mason stopped 31 shots.
