Church Universal Selling Farm Equipment At Auction

Associated Press

The Church Universal and Triumphant will no longer farm its 12,000-acre Royal Teton Ranch north of Yellowstone National Park, so it’s selling most of its farm machinery at auction May 3.

“We don’t see doing any farming in the near future,” spokesman Murray Steinman said.

“We had last year dramatically reduced the scale of farming.’

He said the sale is a “strategic resource turnover” to move the church away from activities other than religion. He said some land the church formerly used for farming on the North and South ranches will be leased to others.

The church also divested itself of its construction machinery in recent weeks.

Vellinga Auction Co. of Bozeman will conduct the auction. Brochures are available by calling (406) 586-1900.
