Spokane Hearing Examiner

The hearing examiner will consider a permit request from Spokane Housing Ventures to have a sixth apartment in an older home on the north side of Maxwell Avenue between Cedar and Adams streets. Also, Lester Johnson wants to rezone property at the northeast corner of Lacrosse Avenue and Driscoll Boulevard for a duplex.

Tuesday, 9 a.m. briefing, county courthouse, 1116 W. Broadway Ave.

2 p.m. weekly meeting for non-hearing items, public works hearing room, 1026 W. Broadway Ave.

5 p.m. meeting, public works hearing room

Among other business, commissioners will decide at its 5 p.m. meeting whether to allow construction of an Albertsons supermarket and other stores along state Highway 27 in the Valley. Also, commissioners will decide whether to ban personal watercraft and other powerboats from free-flowing stretches of the Spokane River. The decision was postponed a week.
