Three Money Measures On Ballot

From Staff And Wire Reports

Three money measures are on the ballot Tuesday in Lincoln and Pend Oreille counties.

In Lincoln County, residents of the Creston School District will be asked to pass a one-year, $152,000 operating levy that would cost an estimated $2.60 per $1,000 of assessed value.

Also, residents of Hospital District 3, based in Davenport, will be voting on a $2 million bond measure to build a 25-unit assisted-living apartment complex for senior citizens. The 20-year bond measure would cost an estimated 38 cents per $1,000 of assessed value.

In Pend Oreille County, Newport School District patrons will decide a two-year operating levy that would cost about $1.62 per $1,000 of assessed value in both years. The levy would collect $372,000 in 1998 and $389,000 in 1999.

The Newport and Creston levies both failed in February. , DataTimes
