Foley Named To Hanford Panel

From Staff And Wire Reports

Former U.S. House Speaker Tom Foley has been appointed to the board of the Hanford Environmental Health Foundation, the organization said Monday.

Foley will join eight other board members who help set policy for the nonprofit foundation, which monitors the health of workers at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation in southcentral Washington.

The foundation, which has worked under contract with the federal government since 1965, monitors radiation exposures and keeps extensive records on all workers at the 560-square-mile nuclear reservation.
