William Morris St. Maries

Graveside service for William H. Morris, D.M.D., 66, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries. Memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Lakeside Middle School Gymnasium.

Mr. Morris, who was born in Montana, died Friday.

He grew up in the Harrison, Idaho, and St. Maries areas, graduating from St. Maries High School.

Mr. Morris worked as a mail carrier and timber industry employee before serving with the Army Signal Corps in Germany in 1952.

He graduated from the University of Oregon Dental School, then practiced dentistry in Hamilton, Mont., from 1961-64. He moved to St. Maries in 1964, where he worked for the Potlatch Complex and Pacific Crown Mill as a superintendent until 1968.

Mr. Morris began a dentistry practice in Plummer, Idaho, operating from 1968 to 1989.

He developed a tree farm and was selected for the 1977 Idaho State Tree Farmer of the Year award.

He was a member of the Christian Life Fellowship Church and the Idaho State Tree Farmers Association.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Lela; two sons, Bill Morris of Minnesota, and Kurt Morris of Plummer; a daughter, Maria Greaney of Moscow, Idaho; a half-brother, Albert Morris of Denver; a half-sister, Betty Wilson of Florida; and 10 grandchildren.

Judy Reeder Spokane

A memorial service for Judy Ann (Vaughn) Reeder, 47, was Tuesday at the Life Center Church.

Mrs. Reeder, who was born in Spokane, died Friday.

She graduated from North Central High School and had worked for the Display House.

She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Pagel; her parents, Dale and Jean Vaughn; a sister, Sandy Williamson; two brothers, Tom and Steve Vaughn; and two grandchildren.

Helene Gower Spokane

Vigil service for Helene Mae Gower, 70, is planned for 7 p.m. today at the Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mrs. Gower, who was born in Poplar Mont., died Saturday.

She had lived in Spokane for 48 years and married Glen Gower in 1952.

She graduated from St. Catherine’s College in St. Paul, Minn., with a degree in library science and worked at Washington State University, Gonzaga University, Spokane Falls Community College and Spokane Community College, and was an extension librarian in Colville.

Mrs. Gower was a choir member at St. Charles Parish, St. Anne Parish in Medical Lake and Assumption Parish.

She was a member of the Washington Education Association, St. Anne’s Altar Society and St. Charles Parish.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Robert and Tom Gower, both of Spokane, Tim Gower of Nine Mile Falls and Jerome Gower of Coeur d’Alene; four daughters, Ann Borgman of Otis Orchards, Elaine Berg and Glenda Miller, both of Spokane, and Mary Gower of Nine Mile Falls; two sisters, Grace Buckholz of Spokane and Alanna Stingley of Pasco; and 14 grandchildren.

Lona Rubin Colfax, Wash.

Memorial service for Lona E. (Ensley) Rubin, 89, was Monday at the Onecho Bible Church in Colfax. Burial was at Onecho Cemetery.

Mrs. Rubin, who died Friday, was born in Wilcox, Wash.

Her husband of 48 years, Leslie Rubin, died in 1975.

Mrs. Rubin is survived by four daughters, Elsie Matthews of Fall River Mills, Calif., Roseann Wright of Turlock, Calif., and Leslie Looney and Judy Buck, both of Colfax; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Onecho Bible Church Project 2000.

Deborah Budwig Moscow, Idaho

Memorial celebration of life for Deborah Kay Moore Budwig, 39, will be today at 3 p.m. at the Moscow Church of the Nazarene. A memorial service with inurnment will be at a later date in Nova Scotia. Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow is in charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. Budwig, who was born in Annapolis, Md., died Sunday from injuries received in a bicycle/ automobile accident on the Moscow-Pullman highway.

She worked as a nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore until moving to Genesee, Idaho, in 1985, then moving to Moscow in 1988.

Mrs. Budwig recently worked at Palouse Pediatrics in Pullman. She also worked as a campus nurse and a parttime lifeguard at the University of Idaho.

She was a member of the New Life Bible Fellowship in Moscow.

Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Ralph; three children, Noelle, Bartholomew and Solana Budwig; her parents, Cortland and Ola Moore, and two sisters, Gloria Leibbrandt and Joy Deaver, all of Florida; and a brother, Danny Moore of Maryland.

Arline Siegwarth Nine Mile Falls

Memorial service for Arline (Eisner) Siegwarth, 88, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Strate Funeral Home in Grand Coulee. There will be private inurnment. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. Siegwarth, who was born in Toronto, Ontario, died Sunday.

She moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, with her family and worked for Spencers for 15 years.

She married John Siegwarth in 1938 and they eventually retired to Grand Coulee.

In 1994 her husband died and she moved to Nine Mile Falls to live with her daughter.

Mrs. Siegwarth is survived by a daughter, Judy Stephens of Nine Mile Falls; a son, John Siegwarth of Grand Coulee; a brother, Leonard Eisner of Vancouver; a sister, Ruby Eastman of Wenatchee; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Elmer Lund Blanchard, Idaho

Private family service for Elmer S. Lund, 78, will be held at a later date. Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lund, who was born in Grenora, N.D., died Friday.

He grew up and graduated from high school in Grenora and attended college in North Dakota before moving to California.

Mr. Lund had worked for McDonnel Douglas Aircraft during World War II and later operated a trucking business.

He became a car salesman in 1953 and moved to Sandpoint in 1962, where he sold cars for Win West and Fran Hiatt.

He moved to Oregon in 1974 and later returned to Idaho, settling in the Blanchard area.

Mr. Lund was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Hiatt of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; two sons, Darrell Lund of Blanchard and Stephen Lund of Oregon; two sisters, Eleanor Butterfield of North Dakota, and Minnie Franz of Schragg, Wash.; and five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Anna Marie Riblett Salem, Ore.

Memorial service for Anna Marie (Johnson) Larson Riblett, 85, will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Lake City Assembly of God in Medical Lake. Burial will precede at the Spokane Memorial Gardens. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Moscow, Idaho, Mrs. Riblett died Sunday in Salem, where she had recently moved.

She had lived in the Medical Lake area for 75 years and worked at Lakeland Village, retiring in 1966.

Two husbands preceded her in death; John Larson in 1982 and Morris Riblett in 1996.

Mrs. Riblett is survived by a daughter, Joanne Eversole of Yuma, Ariz.; a son, Lawrence Larson of Salem; two brothers, Jack Johnson of Spokane and Alfred Johnson of Puyallup, Wash.; a sister, Edna Anderson of Sprague, Wash.; and four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
