Not A Bad Egg?

A national ad campaign this summer claims, “More studies say eggs are OK.” The pitch is based on University of Arizona research that claims high-cholesterol foods such as eggs have less impact on dangerous cholesterol in the bloodstream than foods high in saturated fats. Some health experts, however, warn that cholesterol in the diet affects people differently. Since the mid-1960s, when studies first detailed the cholesterol threat, the egg has been the most familiar symbol of the substance, with consumption dropping steadily.
