Police Seeking Level Iii Sex Offender

Police are looking for an 18-year-old sex offender believed to be living in the Spokane area.

Ameer Bear Shamsiddeen, a Level III sex offender considered likely to re-offend, is wanted on a probation violation. He has refused to cooperate with a juvenile rehabilitation counselor, police said.

Shamsiddeen was convicted in 1995 of raping a 9-year-old girl and molesting an 8-year-old girl.

He is 6 feet 2 inches tall, 235 pounds. He has a three-inch scar on his right hand.
