Grindstaff Tops List Of Batt Appointments

Gary Grindstaff of Buhl is the latest member of the state Soil Conservation Commission.

Grindstaff was named to a term on the panel running until July 2002. The appointment by Gov. Phil Batt will have to be confirmed by the next session of the Idaho Legislature.

Other new appointments announced by the governor’s office:

Jeff Raybould, St. Anthony, Idaho Potato Commission.

Dr. Dick Vester, Wallace, State Board of Optometry.

Dr. James Hollingsworth, Boise, State Board of Chiropractic Physicians.

Ken Patterson, McCall, Big Payette Lake Water Quality Council.

Ellen Van Slyke Thompson, Meridian, and JoAnn Dobecki Shopbell, Twin Falls, Idaho Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Keith Daman, DeSmet and Dirk Boettcher, Lewiston, Idaho Pea and Lentil Commission.

Mike Wherry, New Plymouth and Michelle Pisarski, Boise, Governor’s Council on Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention.
