Fema Begins Issuing Checks To Snake River Flood Victims
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has started handing out checks to eastern Idaho residents in the wake of the Snake River flooding.
So far, about 125 checks totaling $230,000 have been issued to people in Bingham, Jefferson and Madison counties, federal coordinating officer Bob Freitag said.
The relief comes two months after record releases from Palisades Dam sent water over the banks, flooding homes and crops.
