Ella Hartman Spokane

Ella (Amland) Hartman is 100 years old today.

She was born Aug. 8, 1897, in the Swauk Prairie area near Cle Elum, Wash.

Ella Amland and August Hartman were married in 1923 and began farming. After her husband’s death in 1955, Mrs. Hartman and her two sons continued to operate the farm for several more years.

The Hartman’s were parents to three children: Donald Hartman and Kenneth Hartman, both of Ellensburg, and Evelyn Anderson, Spokane.

Three years ago Mrs. Hartman moved to the Spokane area to be near her daughter.

She has six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hartman contributes her longevity to lots of walking and the goodness God has shown her.
