Hospital Drive Needs $2 Million

Associated Press

The drive to raise $12 million for a new hospital at Ketchum is $2 million short. Sponsors have another five months to reach the goal.

“We are very encouraged by the response we are receiving,” said Judy Atkinson, a volunteer campaign manager.

Once $12 million is raised, St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center will proceed with plans to build the new Wood River Valley hospital 2.5 miles south of Ketchum.

Since the campaign began last year, fund-raisers have received 163 contributions.

Fundraisers are hosting briefings for prospective donors at the Sun Valley Center for the Arts and Humanities Monday nights and Tuesday evenings at The Valley Club.
