Work To Begin On Mine Feasibility Study

From Staff And Wire Reports

Gold Reserve Corp. of Spokane said Wednesday that JE MinCorp, a division of Jacobs Engineering Group, would begin working on the feasibility study at Gold Reserve’s gold and copper Brisas mine in Venezuela.

Jacobs Engineering is expected to complete the pre-feasibility study this fall. Their work will include analysis of the processing facilities, tailings dam and the site. The feasibility study will be finalized by 1998, Gold Reserve said.

Gold Reserve is developing the gold and copper deposit, which contains 7.3 million ounces of gold and 950 million pounds of copper, the company said. Through the end of the second quarter, Gold Reserve had invested $38 million in the deposit.
