Rodeo Cowboy Dies Of Injuries

Associated Press

A Fruitland cowboy trampled last Saturday during a wild horse race at the Caldwell Night Rodeo died of head injuries Wednesday, Ada County Coroner Erwin Sonnenberg said.

Jack Cox, 38, died at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, where he was taken after the accident at the rodeo’s final event.

Wild horse racing is not a sanctioned event of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, but it is a signature event of Caldwell’s rodeo, featured every night after the last round of bull riding.
