‘X-Files’ Reruns Boost Fx Ratings
The Tuesday-night rerun debuts of “The X-Files” and “NYPD Blue” brought relatively sky-high ratings to cable’s FX network.
“We were the No. 1-rated show in prime-time cable last night” with “X-Files,” said FX spokeswoman Ellen Cooper. “We more than quadrupled our usual prime-time ratings.”
According to FX marketing exec Guy Sousa, the two shows were cable’s highest-rated off-network rerun premieres since “Murder, She Wrote” in the late ‘80s.
