Women’s Team Picked

Compiled From Wire Services

Six-time USA Hockey Women’s National Team member Cammi Granato heads a list of 25 women named to the 1997-98 Women’s National Team, which will prepare for the 1998 Nagano Olympics, where women’s hockey will make its debut as a medal sport.

Granato, 26, the younger sister of San Jose Sharks left wing Tony Granato, is joined by Lisa Brown-Miller and Kelly O’Leary, who are also both six-time National Team members.

Along with Granato, Stephanie O’Sullivan was named to the team. O’Sullivan, a 26-year-old forward from Dorchester, Mass., is the older sister of Calgary Flames defenseman Chris O’Sullivan.
