Woman, Daughter, 12, Found Dead At Home

From Staff And Wire Reports

Police said Monday they have no motive or suspect in the slaying of a woman and her daughter at their duplex in south Everett.

The bodies of Marnie Walls, 30, and her daughter, Korree Goodman-Olin, 12, were found at about 10 p.m. Sunday by the husband, police spokesman Elliott Woodall said.

The man told officers that he and his wife were estranged, but that he had been trying to contact her and his step-daughter.

He went to check when they didn’t answer a phone call.

There was obvious trauma to the bodies, Woodall said.

The Snohomish County medical examiner was conducting autopsies Monday to determine cause of death.

The medical examiner’s office said the cause of death would not be released until Tuesday after the autopsies are complete.

Detectives questioned neighbors overnight.
