Goyne’s Hot Shooting Helps Cardinals Roll On

College women

Tammi Goyne poured in 25 points Tuesday night as unbeaten North Idaho College romped to a 71-51 basketball victory over Walla Walla Community College at Walla Walla.

The 24th-ranked Cardinals sprinted to a 20-3 led and owned a comfortable 32-20 edge over the Warriors at halftime.

Goyne added 11 steals to her 9-of-15 shooting from the floor. She also made 7 of her 10 free throws.

The Cardinals, fresh from winning the championship of the Bellevue (Wash.) Thanksgiving Classic, improved their record to 4-0.
