Public Meeting To Discuss Chief Traits

A community meeting to learn what qualities Spokane residents want in their next police chief will be held tonight.

The brainstorming session runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers of City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

Police Chief Terry Mangan has announced he will retire next July. The search for his replacement will begin after Jan. 1.

The public can attend the meeting or send suggestions to Assistant City Manager Dorothy Webster, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd., Spokane 99201. Voice-mail comments may be made by calling 625-6110.

A follow-up meeting will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 in the Chase Gallery at City Hall. , DataTimes
