Bonus shot: The Miners will be without junior Josh Lavigne, a starter last season, because of a leg injury sustained during football.

Coach’s comments: “I think we’re going to have to use our quickness and run an uptempo game on offense and defense, because with our lack of height we’re going to have to create some things with speed.”

Outlook: After only winning three games last year, the Miners should be improved this season, according to Lilienkamp. “The difference is more strength, more speed, more confidence and more experience.”
