Man Says He Was Robbed In Parking Lot

From Staff And Wire Reports

A Spokane Valley man was robbed by two armed men Wednesday in an East Sprague parking lot, sheriff’s deputies said.

The 35-year-old victim was in the 12500 block of East Sprague about 11:50 p.m. when a car described as a 1977 or 1978 Toyota two-door pulled up and two men jumped out, deputies said.

The men demanded money and threatened him with a knife and pistol, deputies said. The victim responded by slapping the car’s passenger. The driver then punched the victim in the head. The victim raised his hands to surrender and gave his cash to the robbers, deputies said.

The driver was described as black, 6 feet tall, 170 pounds with a black Raiders jacket and dark jeans. The passenger was described as black, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 165 pounds with corn-rowed hair. He was wearing a black jacket and dark jeans.

They remained at large late Thursday.
