Antawn Jamison had 21 points and 13 rebounds and No. 3 North Carolina overwhelmed Chattanooga for a 68-38 victory Friday night in Charlotte, N.C.

The Tar Heels, who have traveled more than 9,500 miles the past two weeks, improved to 8-0 in the Bill Guthridge era.

Francisco Colon’s 13 points led the Mocs (4-2), who shot 22 percent.

In Charlotte, N.C., Melvin Watson scored a career-high 24 points, including a free throw with 3.5 seconds left, as the Gamecocks (4-0) overcame cold shooting to beat the Hokies (3-1).

In Iowa City, Iowa, Guy Rucker and Ricky Davis each scored 14 points as Iowa (5-0) beat the Owls (2-6) at the Hawkeyes’ Super Shootout.
