Desales Rolls To B-11 Title

Associated Press

Brian Lindgren passed for 349 yards and five touchdowns. Joe Levens caught 13 passes for 192 yards and four touchdowns.

It was that kind of a day for the DeSales Irish.

The Irish, who lost in last year’s title game, captured the Washington high school Class B-11 championship with a 61-28 win over the Mossyrock Vikings.

DeSales (12-1) broke a 22-year-old record by scoring the most points in a B-11 title game, erasing Colton’s mark of 56 set in 1975 against Brewster.

Lindgren, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound junior, was 23 for 26 with one interception. He passed for 3,933 yards and 51 touchdowns this season.

Levens, a senior, had the most TD receptions in a B-11 final. He completed his prep career with 221 receptions, the most by a high school receiver.
