Ivan Davis Kellogg

Memorial service for Ivan L. Davis, 76, is scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel.

Born in Grand Island, Neb., Mr. Davis, died Friday.

He worked as a plumber, as head of maintenance for the Wallace School District and at various other jobs throughout his life.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Katherine; two sons, Larry and Melvin Davis, both of Oregon; four sisters, Helen Benson, Vera Hill, Mary Manka and Betty Homolka, all of Nebraska; two brothers, Dean Davis of Arizona and Walter Davis of Nebraska; three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association or the Stroke Association.

Eula ‘Jim’ Chilcott Kellogg

Service for Eula Tower “Jim” Chilcott, 90, will be today at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Kellogg. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg. Shoshone Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Chilcott, who was born on the Palouse, died Thursday.

She moved to the Silver Valley in 1929 and worked as a floral designer and accountant.

Mrs. Chilcott was a member of the Women’s Benefit Association, the Pythian Sisters and the Order of the Eastern Star, serving as past Worthy Matron and Worthy Grand Matron.

She was a member of the Camp Fire Girls and Emmanuel Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl in 1986.

Survivors include four grandchildren, Paulette Berry of Spokane, Candie Olsen and Vince Chilcott, both of Utah, and Tom Chilcott of Kellogg; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Herman Fredekind Dalton Gardens, Idaho

Service for Herman J. Fredekind, 86, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at English Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Fredekind, who died Friday, was born in Oklahoma.

He moved to the Coeur d’Alene area in 1928 and served as Kootenai County tax assessor for 14 years.

Mr. Fredekind was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Coeur d’Alene and was active in the church choir.

Survivors include his wife, Mable; a daughter, Frances Emmons of Oregon; a sister, Edith Fredekind of Coeur d’Alene; three brothers, Walter Fredekind of Coeur d’Alene, Norman Fredekind of Spokane and Alfred Fredekind of Olympia; and two granddaughters, Gretchen and Erin, both of Oregon.

Kelly Morris Post Falls

Graveside service for Kelly C. Morris, 25, will be today at 11 a.m. at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Morris, who was born in Coeur d’Alene, died Wednesday. He graduated from Kellogg High School before moving back to the Coeur d’Alene area.

Mr. Morris was a former partner and head technician for a carpet cleaning business and was a member of New Life Community Church.

Survivors include his son, Payten of Athol, Idaho; his parents, Bob Morris of Bellevue, Wash., and Sharon Beuchner of Kellogg; two brothers, Kerry Morris of Coeur d’Alene and Jory Beuchner of Kellogg; two sisters, Kathy Hanson and Jayne Beuchner, both of Kellogg; and his grandparents, Mary Phillips of Coeur d’Alene and Steven Wilson of Portland.

Floyd ‘Rosie’ Rosenberger Coolin, Idaho

Graveside service for Floyd Maurice “Rosie” Rosenberger, 91, was Nov. 18 at Spokane Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Rosenberger, who was born in Emporia, Kan., died Nov. 15.

He moved to Spokane from Kansas in 1912 and graduated from North Central High School.

In 1932 he married Helen Blackburn in Spokane.

Mr. Rosenberger worked for The Crescent department store, Carston’s Packing House and Carter-Miller Machine Shop, all in Spokane.

In 1946 he moved to Coolin and worked as a machinist and mechanic in several capacities, including working for Diamond Match from 1946 to 1957.

Mr. Rosenberger then worked for the Idaho state lands department as a mechanic before retiring in 1967.

His wife died in 1982.

Survivors include a son, Larry Rosenberger of Coolin; three granddaughters and nine great-grandchildren.

Eric ‘Frank’ Nolan Kellogg

Memorial service for Eric “Frank” Nolan, 73, will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Kellogg. Shoshone Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Nolan, who was born in Montana, died Friday.

He graduated from Kellogg High School and worked for the Bunker Hill Safety Department, silver refinery, and several other departments for 40 years.

Mr. Nolan was a charter member of the Kellogg Elks, and had served as a manager of both the Kellogg and Wallace Elks Lodges.

He was a member of the Pinehurst Golf Club, the Washington State Golf Association and had served as chairman of the Inland Northwest Blood Center for 30 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Cheri Davis of Kellogg; two sons, Kevin Nolan of Vancouver, Wash., and Robert Nolan of Kellogg; and two brothers, Art Nolan of Federal Way, Wash., and Bob Conlon of Seattle.

George Self Post Falls

Viewing for George Wesley Self, 75, will be today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls. Service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls.

Mr. Self, who was born in Kansas, died Saturday.

He lived in Shoshone and Bonner Counties before settling in Cocolalla, Idaho. He moved to Post Falls 16 years ago.

Mr. Self had owned a mobile home park.

He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, the American Legion in Post Falls, and was a past member of the Sandpoint Eagles and Elks lodges. He was also a member of the Osburn (Idaho) Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Laurie; three sons, David Self of Sandpoint, Jim Self of California and Dennis Self of Mount Vernon, Wash.; two daughters, Judy Reagan of Pinehurst, Idaho and Susan Scully of Pocatello, Idaho; three brothers, Dick, Tom and Jim Self; a sister, Bonnie; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Frances Huck Spokane

Graveside service for Frances L. Huck, 74, will be at 9 a.m. today at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Hennessey Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Huck, a 56-year Spokane resident, died Wednesday.

She was born in Espinola, Wash., and retired from KeyTronic Corporation as a machine operator in 1983.

Mrs. Huck is survived by two sons, Kenneth Huck of Newman Lake and Ronald Huck of Spokane; three daughters, Sharon Huck of Lacey, Wash., Carol Sheppard of Spokane and Betty Huck of Newman Lake; two brothers, Albert Maurer of Newman Lake and Morris Maurer of Potlatch, Idaho; a sister, Marcelle LaFeniere of Lacey; and eight grandchildren.
