Giants Of American Music

The U.S. Postal Service on Thursday announced designs for new stamps honoring American musical icons, to be issued in 1998. Four 32-cent stamps from the Legends of American Music series will pay tribute to, clockwise from top left, beloved blues pioneer Huddie “Leadbelly” Ledbetter, folk poet Woody Guthrie, balladeer Josh White and harmonica master Sonny Terry.
