Three Students Cited After Drug Searches

From Staff And Wire Reports

Three students were cited for possessing drugs or drug paraphernalia following Tuesday morning searches at Kellogg and Wallace high schools.

Police drug-sniffing dogs checked lockers, teacher’s lounges and classrooms during simultaneous searches at both schools, Shoshone County sheriff’s Cpl. Mike Gunderson said. The dogs also searched a few cars at Kellogg High School.

All three students were cited by sheriff’s deputies and will be disciplined by the schools, Gunderson said.

The searches, conducted by the Shoshone County Drug Task Force, were the first done this year at the schools. , DataTimes
