Lakeside Wins Inland Empire Classic

School size meant nothing Saturday as Lakeside won the 16-team Inland Empire Classic wrestling tournament at Central Valley.

The Eagles of Nine Mile Falls, from the school with the smallest enrollment at the competition, totaled 181 points to outscore the host and runner-up Bears by 21.

Lakeside won the State A/B tournament last year and now competes in the 2A Great Northern League. The meet included 10 4A schools, six from the Greater Spokane League and four from the Big Nine Conference.
