Spokane Driver Places Fifth

Compiled From Wire Services

Kelly Tanner passed John Dillon to go ahead with 57 laps remaining, and led the rest of the way to win the NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Tour 200.

Tanner led the early portion of the NASCAR Winter Heat Series race before Busch Pole Award winner Mark Groskreutz of Spokane, and Dillon took turns leading. But Tanner’s Chevrolet got back in front and never surrendered the lead. Groskreutz ran fifth in a Pontiac.
