Woman Robs Bank Branch In Supermarket

A woman robbed a bank branch in a north Spokane supermarket Monday morning, police said.

She walked into Yokes Supermarket, 3321 W. Indian Trail Road, about 10 a.m. and approached the teller at the Inland Northwest Bank branch inside, police said.

The woman told the teller she had a weapon, but did not show one. She left with an undisclosed amount of money. She drove away in a dark blue sedan, police said. No one was injured.

The woman is described as American Indian, about 30 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 140 pounds with long dark hair. Witnesses described her as wearing dark-rimmed glasses, dark pants, a tan coat and boots.
