Henderson Leads Bruins To Fifth Straight Victory

J.R. Henderson scored 29 points his fifth straight game with 20 or more as No. 11 UCLA defeated Northern Arizona 90-68 Thursday night in Los Angeles.

Toby Bailey added 26 points for the Bruins (5-1).

Andrew Mavis had 16 points for the Lumberjacks (4-4).

At Lawrence, Kan., Paul Pierce scored 23 points and Raef LaFrentz added 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Jayhawks (12-1) to a win over the Waves (5-4).

Kansas has won 52 straight home games, the longest current winning streak in Division I.

At Fayetteville, Ark., Nick Davis had 21 points and 11 rebounds to spark the Razorbacks (8-0) to a win over the Cyclones (1-10).

At Syracuse, N.Y., Jason Hart scored 18 points and added eight assists to pace the Orangemen (8-0) to a victory over the Bulls (5-4).

At Oakland, Calif., Raymond King scored a career-high 21 points and Michael Gill added 14 as the Bears (1-4) beat the Vikings (5-3) for their first win of the season.

Brian Towne had 17 points to lead the Vikings.

At Eugene, Ore., A.D. Smith scored 19 points to lead the Ducks (4-3) to a win over the Lumberjacks (3-5).

Davanzio Carter paced the Lumberjacks (3-5) with 18 points.

At San Jose, Calif., Michael Quinney scored a career-high 26 points and Will Trawick made 1 of 2 free throws with 17 seconds to play to lead the Spartans (2-5) to a win over the Gaels (5-3).
