Olsy North America Lands Major Contract

Liberty Lake-based Olsy North America will provide hardware and network maintenance for Physician Computer Network Inc., which has systems installed in more than 100,000 offices around the U.S.

The agreement is the first in health care services for Olsy, previously known as Olivetti North America, which has worked primarily in its branch banking systems.

New Jersey-based PCN develops, sells and supports systems that provide clinical, financial and management information to doctors and health care organizations. They also link those systems to hospitals, laboratories and insurance companies.

Rich Smith, PCN’s director for services operations, said Olsy will enable the company to continue its expansion while focusing on its strengths.

PCN bought Spokane-based Wismer-Martin, which also developed software for doctors, last year.

Olsy spokesman Leonard Salvaggio said the new agreement will not add any jobs at the company’s Liberty Lake plant.
