Toy Safety Alert

Balloons were involved in seven of the 13 toy-related deaths among children in the United States last year, the government said Thursday. The deaths were due to choking or aspirating on pieces of popped or deflated balloons. Three children choked to death on toy pieces, two died in tricycle accidents, and one was strangled by a kite string. Parents are urged to supervise children and make sure toys are used properly.
