Cda Man Jailed In Alleged Rape Accused Of Giving 15-Year-Old Alcohol, Raping Her At His Home

A 23-year-old Coeur d’Alene man is accused of giving a teenage girl alcohol and raping her when she passed out at his home.

Anthony D. Homan was being held Monday in the Kootenai County Jail on a rape charge. A judge set bail at $25,000.

Police also are investigating a complaint from the girl’s friend that she has received several harassing phone calls since the alleged rape was reported Friday. The friend told sheriff’s deputies she witnessed the incident.

The alleged rape occurred late on Dec. 13 or early Dec. 14 at Homan’s house southeast of the city limits.

The 15-year-old victim told Kootenai County sheriff’s deputies she and a friend called Homan on Dec. 13 and asked him to pick them up from a Coeur d’Alene fast food restaurant. They all drove back to Homan’s house and began drinking, according to a deputy’s report.

The girls later changed into swimsuits and got into a hot tub at the house. Homan carried the victim inside the house when she appeared to pass out and later took her to his bedroom.

The girl’s 15-year-old friend told deputies she checked on the girl later. The girl did not have any clothes on and Homan was wearing boxer shorts, she told deputies. It looked like Homan was having sex with the girl, she said.

The alleged victim did not remember what had happened and told deputies she was wearing only her underwear when she awoke in the man’s bed. Her bikini top was tied around her neck.

She told deputies she had met Homan the night before the alleged rape and he told her he was 17 years old.

She told deputies the two had kissed in Homan’s bedroom a few hours prior to the alleged rape. Homan then asked to have sex with her and she refused, according to the report.
