A.R. ‘Russ’ Beagles Spokane

Service for A.R. “Russ” Beagles, 64, is set for today at 10 a.m. at Pines Mausoleum. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Beagles, who was born in Prosperity, Fla., died Friday.

He moved to Spokane from Florida in 1965.

Mr. Beagles worked for various contractors as an electrician for 27 years before retiring in 1980.

His wife of 27 years, Bernice Beagles, died last March.

He was a member of Local 73 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Beagles and Larry Beagles; a stepdaughter, Kathy Prindiville; a stepson, Mike Prindiville; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Helen Durgan Spokane

Funeral Mass for Helen C. Durgan, 81, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Hennessey Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Durgan, who was born in Loon Lake, Wash., died Friday.

She had been a resident of the Spokane area for 55 years.

Mrs. Durgan was a homemaker.

Her husband, Francis Durgan, died in 1988.

She was a member of St. Charles Parish and St. Joseph Parish, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary,and the Valley Eagles Lodge and was a volunteer for REACT.

Survivors include two sons, Bob Durgan of Spokane and Tom Durgan of Portland; a sister, Lena Gerhart of Calpella, Calif.; a brother, F.D. Lundershauson of Spokane; and a grandson.

Janice (Buck) Dubell Spokane

Service for Janice Best (Buck) Dubell, 63, will be todayat 11 a.m. at Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Sandpoint.

Mrs. Dubell, who was born in Clark Fork, Idaho, died Thursday.

She grew up in Clark Fork and in 1941 moved to Sandpoint, where she attended school.

Mrs. Dubell moved to Spokane in 1972.

Survivors include her husband, Donald; seven children, Lloyd Buck, Rhonda Johnson and Linda Curtis, all of Spokane, Barbara Radmer and Deann Slape, both of Kelso, Wash., and Laurel Hughes and Billy Buck, both of Longview, Wash.; four sisters, Gladys Wilson of Coeur d’Alene, Francis Myers of Montana, Hazel Cameron of Idaho City and Beverly Horn of Arizona; two brothers, John and Ken Best, both of Sandpoint; 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Lingle Spokane

Memorial service for Dorothy M. Lingle, 82, is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at Riverview Retirement Community. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lingle, who was born in Des Moines, Iowa, died Thursday.

She served in the Navy WAVES as a postal clerk. During her enlistment, she married Milton “Roy” Lingle.

Her husband died in 1967.

Mrs. Lingle was a homemaker for many years in England, Chile and numerous other international locations. She later worked as a laboratory technician for AT&T’s Bell Laboratories, from which she retired.

She had been a resident of Spokane for 18 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Lingle of Coeur d’Alene; and a brother, Robert Boylen of Davenport, Iowa.

Leonard ‘Buzz’ Dailey Garfield, Wash.

Service for Leonard “Buzz” Dailey, 84, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Garfield Christian Church. Burial will follow at the Freeze Cemetery north of Potlatch, Idaho. Kramer Funeral Home of Palouse, Wash. is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dailey, who was born in Garfield, died Saturday.

He attended schools in Garfield.

In 1942 he married Bertha Tietz in Potlatch.

Mr. Dailey worked for Potlatch Forests Inc. during the early 1960s and worked at Washington State University as a large animal attendant from 1972 to 1978.

He and his wife moved back to Garfield, where he farmed. In 1986 he semiretired from farming.

Mr. Dailey was a member of the Garfield Christian Church and Mountain Home Grange.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Bertha; two sons, Bill Dailey of Clarkston, Wash. and Len Dailey of Colfax, Wash.; a brother, Roy Dailey of Sumner, Wash.; and a grandson.

Kenneth Duncan Camano Island, Wash.

Memorial service for Kenneth Duncan, 79, is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church on Camano Island. Mr. Duncan, who was born near Boulder, Colo., died Wednesday.

He graduated from Custer (Wash.) High School and attended the University of Washington.

In 1941 he married Barbara Bowdish in Seattle.

Mr. Duncan served in the Navy during World War II and then returned to Seattle to finish college.

He worked in sales with Fuller Brush, Sears Roebuck and Metropolitan Life Insurance. In 1967 he transferred to Spokane as unit manager until retirement in the mid 1970s. Mr. Duncan later worked for Grange Mutual Life until 1981, when he moved to Camano Island.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two sons, Kenneth Duncan Jr. of Lake Forest Park, Wash., and Joel Duncan of Spokane; a daughter, Betty Long of Kirkland, Wash.; and seven grandchildren.

Myrtle Kimrey Spokane

Service for Myrtle G. Kimrey, 85, is planned for 2 p.m. today at Sunset Mausoleum Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park. Private burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Kimrey, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Friday.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Ken Kimrey of Spokane and Jerry Hoover of Seattle; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Glen Ferguson Spokane

Service for Glen Raymond Ferguson, 81, was Monday at Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow, Idaho. Burial was at the Moscow Cemetery.

Born in Idaho Falls, Mr. Ferguson died Wednesday.

He grew up and graduated from high school in St. John, Wash., then worked on the family farm near Colton, Wash.

Mr. Ferguson moved to Oregon in 1948 and moved to a farm in Moscow in 1955. He worked as a farmer and for the Latah County Road Department as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator.

Mr. Ferguson retired in 1975 and moved to Cusick, Wash., for several years. He had lived in Spokane for the past six years.

He was a member of the Moscow Moose Lodge.

His first wife, Beryl, died in 1975.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta; a daughter, Tamara Ferguson of Spokane; a son, Kenneth Ferguson of Kennewick; his mother, Olive Chester of Spokane; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Stensrud Spokane

There will be no service for Dorothy V. Stensrud, 86 at her request. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Stensrud, who was born in Silver City, Utah, died Thursday.

She was an officer worker and had lived in Spokane for 18 years.

There are no surviving family members.
