21-Time Convict Makes This Week’s Secret Witness

A Spokane man with 21 criminal convictions is this week’s Secret Witness target.

John Patrick Newkirk, 30, has a record dating back to a burglary conviction in 1984, police said.

Since then, he has served time for theft, burglaries, drug possession and other crimes.

Newkirk, wanted on a warrant for writing a bad check, has 14 other felony charges pending against him. He is considered a potential threat to law enforcement officers.

He is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 165 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Secret Witness is offering a cash reward for information leading to Newkirk’s arrest. Call 327-5111.
