Boys Basketball

Brad Groh connected on 13 of 21 shots from the floor, including three 3-pointers, and finished with a game-high 32 points to lead the West Valley Eagles (3-4) to an 83-49 win over the Bonners Ferry Badgers in the West Valley Tournament on Monday night.

Groh had 13 points in the first quarter to help the Eagles take a 31-11 lead.

In the other game, the Medical Lake Cardinals (4-0), despite making just 10 of 21 free throws, topped the Colville Indians (4-2) 71-62. Shane Meinhold hit five 3-pointers for Colville.

West Valley will play Medical Lake tonight at 8 in the championship game. Bonners Ferry will take on Colville at 6 in the consolation finals.

Cusick Tournament

The Lind Bulldogs (2-6) outscored the Cusick JV (1-6) 41-12 in the second half and ran away to a 70-27 victory in the Cusick Tournament.

In the second game, the Clark Fork Wampus Cats jumped out to a 33-14 lead at the half and cruised to a 57-41 lead over the Cusick varsity (1-6).

Clark Fork will play Lind in the title game today at 4:30.

Chewelah JV Tournament

The Chewelah Cougars JV beat the Northport Mustangs (2-5) 47-39, thanks to a 19-9 run in the fourth quarter.

In the other game, John L. Crow of British Columbia dominated the first half and rolled to a 59-37 win over the Columbia Lions.

Chewelah JV and John L. Crow will meet today for the title.

Liberty Tournament

Scott Kramer scored 10 of his 18 points in the second quarter to help the Odessa Tigers (4-2) rally from a fivepoint deficit en route to a 62-57 win over the Sydney Goldminers of Australia in the Liberty Tournament.

In the second game, D.J. Goldsmith hit 9 of 15 shots from the floor and finished with a game-high 19 points to lead the Freeman Scotties (6-2) to a 58-37 victory over Liberty (1-6).

Odessa will take on Freeman tonight at 7:30 in the championship game. Liberty will play Sydney in the consolation final at 4 p.m.
