Snowmobile Rider Hit By Car, Killed

A 38-year-old Idaho Falls man died when his snowmobile was hit by a car near Island Park.

Jay Thomas Smith Jr. was crossing U.S. Highway 20 near Henry’s Lake on a snowmobile Sunday afternoon when he was hit by a car, Fremont County authorities said.

Brian Salios of Pocatello was driving the car.
