Records Show Kemp Had 7 Drinks

Seattle Post-Intelligencer

A check of restaurant records showed Monday that Sonics forward Shawn Kemp ordered and was served seven drinks during a late-night outing at a restaurant on the eve of the Feb. 2 Sonics-Bulls game in which he played poorly.

Kemp was served four single shots of Royal Crown whiskey and three Corona beers during a 3-hour, 15-minute period at The Keg Steakhouse and Bar, according to a marketing vice president of the restaurant chain. The total was two or three drinks fewer than what workers had recalled.
